Three bands of wreckage and orchard.
The innermost band is farmed — terraces of biolume grain under a glass vault. The middle is debris from the ark Solace, still shedding metal after twelve centuries. The outer band is a seed vault no one is licensed to open. From the Gardens, the planet looks almost gentle.
